Some bucket seat problems
Alrighty, long story I traveled over a hour to pick up some bucket seats for my truck. And I should've checked them out more thoroughly. The passenger side has levers, so that works. The driver side however is electric. My truck did not come with electric seats, I installed bench seats (from the original bucket seats) stupidly might I add. Over 2 years ago. And from memory I dont recall it have any electrical connections, except for some connectors for the seatbelt.
When I got home, I checked them over. And numerous red flags popped up, #1 one of the labels says explorer, #2 seats were manufactured back in 1996, #3 I would not even begin to understand how to make this work with my truck. The lever to tilt the seat forward works, however to move back and forth it runs on a screw system. And I really do not want to drive over 2 hours (1 hour 1 way) to return a pair of seats I purchased for $100. I contacted the gentleman who sold them to me, and he swears up and down that they came from a F150.
I cannot check on my truck right now, because it as well is 1 hour away in the opposite direction.
Any help would be appreciated.
as far as explorer/F150, most seats are used in multiple vehicles. the difference would be mounting brackets.
and mounting brackets are easy to change. i have 69 caddy power leather seats in my 79 F350
