I wonder if you can switch the seat skins (from driver's to passenger's sides) while they're out of the truck? Also, I'm wondering if the seat bottoms are too long? Otherwise I really like them.
You really don't gain seat room by removing the gas tank. The fore-aft location of the seat is governed more by the top of the seat back, where it hits the window/back of cab, than the seat bottom. The seat has to lean backward somewhat to be comfortable.
Got these seats out of a 2006 envoy. They have the seat belts built into the seats. They had a 40% off sale at Picknpull, I paid $29.00 each. I'm 6'1 with a bum right knee and I was still able to drive the truck ok. I think better than the original seat.
