Hi all, I'm just starting on a 75 F250 supercab RWD and I need to replace the front brake calipers so they don't rub on my new wheels (16" x 8") Does anybody know of smaller calipers that will work?
X2 no smaller caliper out there that I know of. That truck came OEM with 16.5's. You need different off set/back spaced rims. Or yes 17's, X2 do not grind on the calipers.
Not sure on a 2wd, but this is common on aluminum wheels on a 4x4. on them you can grind the caliper casting just a little to get clearance, you don't need much and it doesn't hurt a thing.
X2---I have 16-inch Alcoa aluminum wheels on my 1976 F350 supercab, and I also had to grind a small bit off the caliper for clearance. There's a lot of "meat" on the caliper where you would be grinding.
