Fuel filter change

Are you guys purging the system after each filter or 1 time after both are swapped out? Always thought just once however had a few people say to do it after the lower, then again after the upper?

Change both filters and then prime the system. Zero reason to do it twice...

Both filters at once, prime once (cycle pump run 6+ times).

Count me as another that does it after both are changed.

Maybe there was an earlier engine (6.0l? or 6.4l?) that was hard to purge if not purged when each filter is replaced, I don't know, but not an issue with the 6.7l.

If you fool with priming after each filter, just means you have to stop and wash your hands twice before getting in the truck to do the priming.
Prime AFTER replacing BOTH filters, no reason to make extra work.
Prime, key or switch on, 15 seconds, off for 5 seconds, repeat 6 times, total time of 2 minutes, start truck and let it run for 5-10 minutes, let it warm up a little as you check for leaks, then good to go.

Does anyone else push a hose on the outlet side of the engine fuel filter and run it to a bucket for the first purge?
Only takes a few seconds with the key on and doesn't waste much more fuel than was already wasted during the filter change.
It might be overkill but this is how I do mine. Seems to get the air out fast and the fuel pump doesn't sound like its in such a bind. Once its done spitting air, I hook up the last fuel line like normal, one more key cycle then crank it right up. No need for the 6 key cycles to purge the system.
Just figured I would share another option.

I don't hook a hose up under the hood nor do I key cycle six times. Never had an issue. Just change both filters, turn key on for 30 seconds, done.

I'm surprised that works for you. I can still hear air purging after six 30 second purge cycles. From what I've seen, one key cycle after a filter change results in extended cranking, sometimes a start then stall. Not something I would want to subject the CP4 to.
