There was a guy here that made his own that way, Can't remember his user name and if my memory hasn't failed me I think he lived in Spain or Portugal. His whole build was incredible. Hopefully someone will remember the fellow if I can't find his thread..
Thanks for the info. He did a really nice job on his truck. I got involved in looking at his entire build and didn't really pick up on what he did to form the headliner.
I made one but it was a mess. The mold release agent that I used did not release and the layup stuck to the roof. I worked around that issue and got a piece the shape of the roof...I knew that it was going to be too big to fit up inside as a headliner so I cut and worked the piece til it fit. The piece took so much work that I stopped working on it and went with an ABS headliner from Midfifty. Looking back on it now, if I were to make another FG headliner, I would cast it off the ABS version...it has the right dimensions and would be easier to handle. I have a ABS headliner in the box if you want to try it out.

Did you use pva for your release agent? I can see that it would be a rather lengthy and messy task. My top is chopped is the only reason I'm even considering it.
When I did mine I placed clear plastic over the roof and laid the fiberglass over that. I didn't use a release agent because the plastic didn't stick to the primer on the roof. I made it big enough to be able to trim down for a good fit inside. The front I tucked up above the windshield header Don't forget to run the wire for your overhead light if you're planning to use one. Don't let the resin drip onto the running boards.
