It's 100% a chip shortage. If you look into the schematics of the QH's board and try to find some of the chips they use, you simply can't anymore. I'm all for a good conspiracy but this simply isn't the case that the EPA had anything to do with Moates not being able to produce products anymore.

I realize second hand that chip shortages are real. My best friend developed and built the Hydra for Power Hungry Performance for the 7.3L Powerstroke market from 2012 to just a few years ago when a different board supplier was used. On a couple of occasions he had to source new hardware for them due to supply issues and discontinuations but he persevered and wrote new code for different hardware and even had to change the regulated voltage of one or more things on the board.
I'm not saying the Moates crew didn't need a different direction or that it was time to shut it down due to issues with supply.....but it's no "conspiracy"....the EPA needs to F-off and be dissolved due to the overreach and scare tactics/fines.

I'm old enough to remember that there was no blue sky in Los Angeles and Tokyo. Although I do not appreciate some of the tactics the Government uses, if the public sector fixed their own problem, the government would not have to step in and screw it up. I for one have lived long enough to notice there is a huge reduction in pollution since the 70's. One of the byproducts of those rules are engines that produce way more power and run better than anything in the muscle car era.
