2003 F-150. My headlight lens are at a point of needing replacement. Running on brights no one even flashes me anymore.
The question is should I upgrade to LED bulbs and if so what kind of lens should be used?
Or just replace the lens and use standard halogen bulbs?
Ok there has been discussion about "upgrading" headlights. Not affecting me personally. But just to be careful which you choose. Some LED units while very good lighting for you have a tendency to blind oncoming drivers. Personally, I'd go with as near to OEM as possible.
I bought the projector head lights from LMC and put led bulbs from Philips in them people are always flashing me even on low beam so I added a gian 4 row led light bar just below my head light level (where I live if you add light below the headlight level their considered fog lights and the police can't ticket you) so when people flash me I hit the high beams and the bar at the same time and they shut their high beams off in a hurry

Are your LED headlight bulbs DOT approved and legal for on road use? If not, then you are running illegal bulbs and flashing the people that you are blinding with your illegal bulbs.
I went with the TYC from Rock Auto as suggested by Hit Man. Installation was easier after I finally realized to remove the side marker lights so I could see to line up the adjusters into proper slots.
The lights seem quality, not too expensive. They came with bulbs.
I did not replace the side marker lights, but painting the grill sounds like a good idea. Mine is a super crew, white in color, so the black grill might spruce it up a bit.
Here is mine before I swapped in the headlights (sides already done). It was Rust-Oleum stuff for trim and bumpers. Did self etch primer first and two cans of the trim/bumper paint.
