I have a 2000 f250 it’s basically a stock truck only mods are a swag diesel 2 piece spyder, bellowed up pipes, ww2 compressor wheel, 6637 air filter and a 3-1 gauge boost, egt, and trans temp. I have never owned a basically stock not tuned 7.3. Yesterday towing 11k(dump trailer) I saw 1200 egt a couple times up hill running 65 to 70mph I was just wondering if this normal, ik it’s not gonna hurt anything, just surprised my other truck with a bunch of mods never sees over 1150 egt. Just looking for other peoples experience on a basically stock truck.
Normal, they can get up to 1300°+ if engine is on the weak side or have worn out injectors, another problem is there are alot of other factors like tire size, gear ratios etc
