I have a host shifter handle I put on my floor shifted three speed. The problem is the shifter is 3/8 corse and the shifter **** I have is 1/2 corse. How can I mate these two? I know the easy answer is buy a new a shifter but I want to use this old school black shifter ****. Any ideas?

Ya the guys are right almost all old hardware stores have the adapter your after. My little Two cents is to get a nut and narrow it down or make it thinner, install it. Then install the shifter **** and tighten the much thinner nut against the ****. That little mod will keep the **** tight.AJ
Heck it only a shifter ****, push in a piece of plastic tubing and screw the **** onto the stick. Hurst used to sell universal shifter ***** with plastic inserts.
Im going to think all these things out. The bushings that I found are pipe threads. 3/8 female 1/2 male. I know I have a hurst t handle somewhere in my garage. I started taking things apart a year ago and then wrecked my shoulder. I will give myself a couple of days to find it. Thanks for all suggestions.
