Transmission problems
Ok so I have a 1967 f100 with a 302 and c4 transmission swapped from a 1971 Ford Econoline motorhome. I'm having problems with the shifting. I've done a few things to improve but still not working properly. Ok so first the truck would not go up any incline. Had no power at all. I found the modulator was a not adjustable so I bought an adjustable one and replaced it. Still was acting the same until I turned the screw in 1 1/2 turns then truck seemed way better. Little more power but not much and forgot to mention shift way to fast. In 3rd by about 30mph. My man concern and issues are that if the truck is in drive it shift fine most of the time but then sometimes shift like it's slipping. If I manual shift it it's fine. Any idea?

My C4 in my ‘67 also shifts quickly.
1st to 2nd at about 8-10 mph,
2nd into 3rd is about 25-30 mph.
I fiddled with the modulator adjusting and I checked the 2 bands torque settings, I’ve driven it as is for 23 years.

I'm more worried about the problem where it shifts properly and sometimes kinda feels like it runs into gears and can't tell it's shifting more like slipping. Can't really explain.
