E4OD overdrive shifting conditions
Is it normal the overdrive works only on 50-60 mph and just downshift to 3rd after 60 mph, but in uphills, when I put more throttle, the trans just upshift to overdrive and it climb in overdrive, slowing the truck, even flooring it doesn't downshift, only downshift when I turn off the overdrive, I checked wiring harness, the tps, but all those are good, no short circuits by the way, and the gears shifts good to, from 0 to 35 with almost no throttle goes from 1 to 3 without problem, even on city uphills while the trans is on 3rd, when I press the gas downshifts with no issues, only at highway speeds have the overdrive problem, also, the harness connector on the trans got the coast clutch solenoid pin broken (the original trans was replaced by another one from the junkyard), I know the trans is old, but is it normal to happen?? If the trans isn't reliable enough I want to try a manual bc I want the truck for heavy work, the truck is a ford F-350 1990 with the 7.5L or 460 engine
Thanks in advance
