So I just took my truck in for an alignment after rebuilding the front end and the track bar mount where it goes to. The frame was loose when I got it home I could tighten one of the bolts but the other one just spins and it is like impossible to access the nut on the backside. Am I crazy for just having this welded to the frame? This is the loose bolt
Will a wrench not fit through that access hole in the frame to the right, or is it blocked off just past those bolts behind the bracket? I wouldn't weld it unless there really wasn't any choice, plus it might be cast so welding it could be a challenge. There's a third bolt on that bracket at the crossmember isn't there? If the other 2 are tight, like stupid tight, that should hold it long enough to figure out a plan.

only the two bolts but under further review there is a removable bracket that goes inside the frame that the bolts go to. So I guess I just need to find that bracket already been to a junkyard and they don’t have one. Anybody have a 4 x 4 parts truck

i’m guessing my issue is either the nut is rounded off or the bracket piece is worn out and letting the nuts spin. Now my only concern is if I cut the head of the bolt off if there will be enough clearance to pass the bracket back out I have got one from the junkyard.
Ford part # 2C3Z-5C209-AA looks to be discontinued.
You might be able to get in there through the access hole and pry against the nut enough to stop it from spinning. Maybe grind down a harbor freight wrench to get on it.
I'll see if I can find one in my parts boxes as those of us with the D60 swap aint using this part anymore.

I found the bracket local at a junkyard, I am just nervous that once I cut the head off the bolt there will still be to much threads sticking through the nut to come out…. It is the front bolt that is the issue if it was the back I wouldn’t be worried at all
Only one way to find out. It's not like that bolt is doing a whole lot for you as it is. If you cut it, then drop the bracket out of the way you can run the other bolt back in and grind another 1/2 to 5/8 of an inch off. If it don't come out then just buy another truck,

Getting another truck is not something that I really want to do… I do like certain things about the newer trucks but I don’t like how complicated they are to work on. I need my truck in the morning to get my dump trailer that’s loaded with roofing out of someone’s front yard in the morning, so for now I just tightened the one bolt I can and going to send it till I have a few days I don’t need my 4x4 truck for work and mess with it then

FIne, if you're wanting to do things all smart and have a plan and stuff. I guess it could work, I wouldn't know.
You can make your own flagged nut with a piece of flat stock and a rivnut.
I took a nut and welded a small, maybe 3/16" piece of round bar stock to it once. I was able to position the nut where needed through one of those access holes in the frame and when it tightened up the round stock just conformed a little then held very well.
