If I had abundant time, I would just replace the u-joint, but I'm tied up the next 3 weekends and only have about 4 hours of daylight to get this job done myself. So I opted for the entire preassembled axle shaft. It's a good $100 extra spent iny situation.
The seal is a real bear to install and it needs to be centered or it will quickly wear and leak. I had to whale on mine to get them to seat, that last 1/4" is a real *******.

Yes, I know. I stated in my original post that I had the axle seal tool and long snap ring pliers.
Completed this today using Dana Spicer part #10013778. There was confusion that this part would work as Dana is the only website saying it would. I called tech support and they said yes it does, unless you have a 25? spline, which then I would need another part#. Took off my actuator hub and counted, 35 splines. Took 3 hours start to finish and sometime this spring, I may do the driver side. $188 from Summit Racing, the u-joint, hub seal and inner seal are over $100 in parts, so I bought it as 1 unit. Just really need long snap-ring pliers and the hub seal press, which my son loaned me. Not overly difficult and next go round will be much smoother.

I ordered that exact driver. it was machined about 1/8 of an inch too large of diameter to go into the housing to press the shaft and seal in . cost me almost $100.00 for a Sunday emergency machine shop fix.

is about twice as much. Also made in China. There do seem to be fewer fitment issues with the OTC. Most of the complaints are that it's so expensive. LOL!
