2018 F250 6.2 engine codes
2018 F250 6.2 engine codes
Hey Peeps... Looking for some help.
I am getting these codes :
P0316
P2097
P2099
Engine is stock with a SB cold air intake. Exhaust is Stainless Works headers with high flow cats. I also installed the bongs for the O2 sensors post cat. And a Flowmaster CAT back dual exhaust which I dont think matters here.
At first on long trips... 2+ hours on the highway would cause the check engine light to come on on next startup. Throwing codes 2097 and 2099. Then intermittently I have began to see the P0316. Now its gotten to the point over the last months were any highway drive seems to be throwing the codes and the 316 code is seen more at startup. When the code is thrown the truck smells like its running richer and the idle is rougher seeming to almost shut down at or below 500 rpm.
We have just. finished a smoke test and found no exhaust leaks from the cats forward. All plugs have been changed with motorcraft platinum. truck has 108k miles.
Who's got ideas for me?

Don't know enough, other than you posted some codes that refer to fuel trim. Might be a camshaft timing sensor, or O2 sensor(s) maybe. I'm sure someone else will have more clues. If you have an old laptop laying around, get FORSCAN on it. You might be able to dig a little deeper and hopefully it isn't something internal.
