Retainer Pin removal?!!

Maybe I can crawl under and jam a screwdriver in there. Strange there's no mention of it in all the vids I watched with the exception of yours but hes not clear on the removal process.
Stranded until then with it.

OK I just went out to the garage and in a box on my PSD shelf it so happens that I kept my old tensioner, it looks like you just cut the clip with side cutters. I would try and hold the tension while you cut it so it doesn't fly open violently (it will actually slam shut at the clip end) or just twist it out then cut off the excess.

There is a clip or pin holding the tensioner in place in a way that makes it easy to install.

How do I remove the clip once the part is installed?

Success! Thank you Lord! I was about to make war upon it and just put the ARM on the breaker bar and it released!

Thank you for your kind replies! All that is needed apparently for future tensioner novices is a bit of *** into the breaker bar and the thingy will release!

I didn't know it locked haha.

I always had 1 arm on the braker bar to release, and then the other hand to slip the belt off the alternator pulley, then just slowly released it
