Hi, I have a 1995 F-150 5.0L 4R70W 2wd that I'm going to be 4x4 swapping in the future. The truck had keyless entry which included the dash harness for the push button 4x4, and that was something that I always wanted. I bought a donor truck with the same year and motor and trans, only difference is it's an extended cab. I ripped out all the wiring for the electronic shift module and transfer case and unplugged it from the passenger kick panel under the dash. While taking out the harness that ran along the passenger rocker under the carpet that plugged into the transfer case, there was one singular wire that I cut that went up into the back of the cab, and I wasn't sure what it went to. I didn't feel the need to strip all the interior out of the truck just to find out what it was, I don't recall what color the wire was but I think it was black with a colored stripe. Does anyone know what this wire went to? I have a feeling it has something to do with it being an extended cab, but what would need one single wire? I figured when the time comes for me to put all this wiring in my truck, I would just try to see what it went to and splice it in, but I wanted to see if I could get any input first. I wasn't able to find many diagrams for the push button 4x4 on the internet, so I'm a bit at a loss.
Just made an offer on it, shouldn’t I be using the one for F-Series though? I know the Broncos and trucks are almost the same but I’m not sure if there’s still any significant differences
