I have a 72 F250 2wd; and I need to remove my door locks and work on them, appears they are seized up and won't function. I can't find info about removing the inner door panel to get inside the door itself. If someone can direct me to a video or a step by step that would be very helpful.
Which trim level do you have? The Custom panels have screws which are screwed into plastic inserts IIRC. To get those out, you might have to pry up slightly with something gently on the panel as you are turning the screw. For the vinyl Sport Custom + panels, they are held in with clips which you have to gently pry up.
I can only assume you have the trim ring that covers the screws. Pictures of your door would be helpful as there were different interior options. The video attached shows a 1969 but if you have the trim it all comes off the same. I would not use a screw driver like he does I would use plastic trim tools (see screen shot I pasted below of said tools) so you don't scratch up the door or the panels. Also if you use trim tools they shouldn't "bust" as he says. Just my 2 cents anyway.
Before tearing the door apart I would squirt some white lithium grease into the lock cyl. from the outside and see what happens. That's what I had to do on my 1967 Mustang and the locks worked perfectly after that before the key would not move at all.
