Fuel injector cleaning
So I have all my injectors out of my 04 5.4l as I am replacing the heat gaskets. As far as I know they have never been cleaned but have had no issues. The have 128k on them, A friend gave me a o-ring kit and I think little filters for it. I have looked on YouTube and there is like 100 different way they do it. Does anyone recommend cleaning them while out, what is the best way without damaging them and how do you get the little filters out? The only video I seen to remove the filter was a ad for a special tool. Thank you

I'm all about pouring a few bottles of seafoam in an 1/8 tank of gas once in a while, running a few heat cycles and letting the injectors soak......FoMoco injectors are worth sending out to get thoroughly cleaned and tested. I don't think I'd bother sending aftermarket injectors. I'm not saying you have aftermarket, I'm just making the statement as a barometer of what's worth doing.
