Ive searched around and personally cant find anything similar, About a year ago i was doing a standpipe replacement and it got darker a lot sooner than i had anticipated but i finished rigght as it got dark started everything up no problem, next day i drive as i go to leave again battery is dead, i looked around realized that i some how managed to not attach positive lead on passenger side battery and it was hitting stuff in there as it bounced around unfortunately, replaced batteries bc they were fried, and now i can start my truck no problem runs great but if i shut it off and try to restart it, it may start up with no hesitation or it may crank and crank forever until i stop and recrank a second time and it will usually always start right up but either way i always have a check engine light on that says all my glow plugs are bad and need replaced, i put those battery switches on both batteries so i can easily discconect them, every time it sits with batteries disconnected it will start back up without any issue or codes thrown and it starts up fast and strong, just curious if anyone may have any tips, thanks
Sounds like another hot no start issue, high pressure oil system. Where did you get your stand pipes? There are known problems with o-rings on certain cheap brands, and unfortunately even Motorcraft.
Here is the biggest tip I can give you. Get FORScan for your phone. It’s a Bluetooth module for the OBD port. Get it set up, then post this question in the 6.0 power stroke section of the forum. You’ll get way more diagnostic help over there. The guys on that side of the fence are experts on these engines.
