OK I'm just getting started looking at Ford pickups and found a design feature I'm trying to sort out. On some short cab versions there is what appears to be an extra window and storage area behind the seat, while others don't have this. See attached images. Is this actually a storage area? Does the version with the window have a slightly longer cab than those without? I also found one image that differentiates between "standard" and "regular", while I thought they were the same thing. Confusing. Thanks in advance..
You are correct. Standard and regular cabs are the same thing.
‘05-08 regular cabs had the back doors. ‘09-later went back to the more conventional cab setup. Cost cutting stuff, ya’ know…
‘09-14 would be a better comparison as that generation was basically a refresh ‘04-08 model. Either way, there is storage behind the seat, you just don’t get a back door to get there as mentioned.

OK thank you for the reply. I guess having the window and door makes it look like there would be more room behind the seat, but actually there's no difference in storage room between the two designs. Is that correct?
Looking at the photos, it appears the version without the window has a wider door instead.
