Well, thanks for all the feedback and comments, lol. I'm sure mine were done a while ago, but I never got around to getting new ones until now. The old ones were not leaking, but when I compressed them by hand it took 3 business days for them to extend, so there is that. With that said, these are stiff riding trucks regardless of the shocks used, but I definitely noticed a difference with the switch from stock.
Thanks for the info. I've heard the Bilsteins are great. However there are several Bilsteins for that truck. (same as mine) do you remember the part #??

I replaced my 2020 F350 CCSB Diesel FX4 shocks at 44k. Same issue as you, 3 days to extend. Replaced them with Bilstein 5100's, along with the steering stabilizer at the same time. 120k now. No leaks. Haven't pulled them to check them either. Will be replaced with a 2024 F350 CCLB non FX4 in a month.

I went with the 5100's for stock height trucks. #24-274951 and #24-274968

twin tube shocks are not pressurized like monotube, so even new the rebound on them is slow. also oil and air is mixed in twin tubes so in high speed motion they pretty much immediately useless.

so what do you recommend? At 40,000 most everyone says mine are junk. I see no differance in the ride now than when it was new. Terrible now, terrible then.
I put the Bilstein 5100 on my 2020 truck and they were leaking by 60,000 miles.
I was headed out hunting and couldn't find any that wouldn't take a week to show up, So I replaced them with KYB
Hated the look of the KYB, But they rode OK
When my 2023 arrived I put a ReadyLift Leveling kit on it and came with Falcon shocks. I think they ride great, I'm watching to see if they last longer than bilsteins I had on my 2020.
Falcon shocks are made in the Salt Lake city area. The company has been build components for 4 wheel jeeps since the late 60's when it was known as MEPCO. They were bought out by the same parent company that owns ReadyLift and they started building shocks for the level and lift kits for ReadyLift. They custom valve them for the application that ReadyLift is bundling them with.

I just looked up Falcon shocks from their web page for my 2020 F-250 xlt. The cheapest set 04 4 they have for my truck are over $900 for 4. I would certainly hope they would be good shocks!!

bilstein 5100 or fox 2.0's. I believe, for the money, you cannot beat the fox 2.0's for any platform fox makes shocks for.

I agree, Fox 2.0’s or Bilsteins is the way to go for stock set ups. I went with the Bilsteins largely based on the lower cost. But reviews seem to indicate they the 5100’s were better with towing in mind whereas the Foxs were more for (light) off-roading. That may be a bit broad… but it’s kind of what I had gathered from reading others reviews. Also, with the reputation of the 5100’s, I had no concerns. Some also mentioned that the Fox’s would often need rebuilding and that this cost more money. Of course less if you can do it yourself. Saying all of that, I am happy with my 5100’s, but I’ll admit, I love the logos and the look of the Fox shocks… either way, I would bet you’d be happy with either.
After reading though the thread I am debating ordering the Bilstein 4600's, they seem to get good reviews for general use with light off-roading. Just wish they weren't bright yellow lol

I got my rear Bilstein 4600's from Shock Surplus, as they had a $25 coupon pop up during searching their site, so the total delivered to me was $176. The color doesn't bother me a bit, and the new Bilstein's work great. If you don't like the color get the 5100's.
