Radiator leak
Hi I have a 2015 F-150 with a 3.5 l EcoBoost. The radiator has developed a small leak, and I was curious if there is any safe stop leak to use until I could replace the radiator? I bought a bottle of bars leak, but I'm hesitant to use it.

Before starting work on the radiator, be extra careful isolating the source. Hoses are cheap (and more likely to fail); radiators not so much. After 8 years, rubber components start to get brittle.

IMO I wouldn't use any type of stop leak product unless it was a life and death situation. I think there are just too many small passages on modern engines that could be plugged up with it. I'd rather fix the problem than throw a bandaid on it that could cause a problem down the road.

Agreed, stop leak products like Bars Leaks are only to get you by for a short period of time until you can get a proper repair done. Same idea as tires with products like Fix a Flat. If you rely on those products, they will ruin what you intended to fix with it.
