I don't personally know anyone doing it on a Dent, but I've seen a lot of wraps on all kinds of vehicles. Tractor trailers too. To me, they lack a little shine, and I question life of it, but it's for sure a viable alternative. I think it's a thing with race cars and bikes too now, fast refinish after repairs? I did see a really sharp looking wrap in cammo at 7-11 on a near new Ford.
Seen a few around here in Line-X colors, and I know some cringe at it, and maybe it does reduce value and appeal, but it's durable, looks fair setting out in the driveway, is low maintenance, and if one doesn't care about resell.

A guy I work with has a ghetto special Chrysler 300 with a wrap on it, his main car died so he’s been driving it to work and the road salt has just destroyed that wrap. Not sure if that’s normal or just poor prep work. I don’t think I would want a wrap because on a warm summer day when I’m not doing chores or making hay I do enjoy taking my time and waxing vehicles and equipment.
