68Eddie I don't know where you live but when you go looking for tires try to find either a Discount Tire store or a America's Tire store they are the same company. I needed a 14 inch tire for my 1967 Mercury Cougar and they had some sitting on the shelf. They also have IMO the best customer service of any tire store that I have ever used.
Here are a couple of threads that talk about Camper Special Wheel and tire size, and hubcaps for these trucks. There is information on the innie and outie style hub caps.
These r not what some people call dog dish .
If you move the rule over even with the end of hubcap ( clamp part ) it will probably measure 15"
As another poster commented , these look like they would not gripe a wheel tightly , so they not stay on long ?????????????????
These look 2 me 2 b 15" , fit 15 inch rims .
RichS2659, it does have a Dana 60 rear. Thank you for those links, they have master catalog part numbers and everything. That was a simple observation I missed, and now I have my own wheel cover collection. I could cut holes in them where the axel and lugs stick out. Also, rtv silicon is a great adhesive for stuff that falls off, even if it is a hack it might work. Or just fill the hubcaps with dog food. Or carry a bag and scoop under the seat and throw the food out when the caps come off. How about trim rings?
Excellent post. Yes for Discount Tire, they have great service.
Great information ! This helps me also .
Does this info work for a F100 back wheel wells ?
My F100 has inner fender walls . I do not know if these trucks with Dana axles have inner fender walls ? If it does have inner fenders then these size tires should fit on my truck . Well I will be using 17" rims w/4" or 4.5 " backspacing so this may not work 4 me - any way this does help my greatly because I do plan to use some 15' rims at times to show off my hubcap collection ! I ask because this would affect me trying to fit these tire sizes .
Thankx 4 the help .
