Hey all, rotating assembly and block interchange
Hey all, rotating assembly and block interchange
I have the opportunity of acquiring a 96 4.6 l dual overhead cam running motor in great shape that I want to put in to a rear wheel drive vehicle. I've done a lot of reading here and it's really beyond confusing it's head scratching if anything. As a last resort and I hate that I'm opening a can of worms but are there differences in the main and connecting rod bearings the oil seal diameters front and rear all the other bells and whistles of a short block rotating assembly and moving from a Texas block to a Romeo or Windsor Lock or a windsor aluminum block. That's not even referring to the years that they may be different so any help here would be helpful if I could take it and pull my crank in my spinning assembly and put it in another block let's do it if not I'm going to have to give up $300 motor that all ages an oil change but it has to be front wheel drive! Thanks in advance, Charlie
