Door latching problems

I have a 2007 F-250, and when it gets cold out, the rear doors will not stay closed. I’ve had the recall done for that in 2021, that supposedly fixes this. It had been fine until this winter, when it’s happens a couple of times now. Good thing I don’t put anyone in the back most of the time, but it is aggravating to have to bungee cord the door closed until it warms up. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks.

Does it happen with the door locked and unlocked?

I'm guessing that 2007 is a typo as you signature shows a 2017. I had the same problem with a 2017. Many posts on this subject back in 2017-18 but you might have a heck of a time finding them with the site search function. I've never had great luck with it.
As I recall, someone came up with and posted what they called a "ghetto" solution. Mainly lubing and/or using lock deicer in the latch mechanism and removing the rubber plugs at the bottom of the doors. I did this on my 2017 and it seemed to solve the problem. When I bought a 2019 I noticed that the holes were still at the bottom of the doors but no rubber plugs from the factory.
Good luck in your search.
This is all I could find from a 2020 post. And I know the original fix was from 2017 or 2018 but I cannot find it.

Mine does it too (2017) and I never took it in for the "fix". I kind of put up with it because it doesn't happen every time and I don't want my truck to be the dealerships guinea pig. Its mainly the drivers door that will not latch, so I hold it shut the best I can while driving and turn my heater fan speed to high....as I go down the road, the warm interior air seems to leak out the slight door opening and thaws it out enough to finally latch. Usually about 1/3 of a mile will do the trick. Rght now temps are -13* F and the door worked fine.

My 2017 did this when new...multiple instances, several at some very inopportune times. I had to hold a door shut with motorcycle tie downs more than once. I also found that I could cycle the driver's side lock with my key, allowing the door to latch when frozen rather than just bouncing back open. I had the TSB modification done when it became available and it seemed to work...until this past weekend, while it was in the mid-20's...before the current single digit temps. I thawed it out by pulling the rubber plug and using my heat gun for a bit. I doused the latch with WD40. Tested it last evening, after it sat for 2 days in single digit temps, and the locks seem to be cycling lock/unlock fully. What's next??
