I'm glad I stumbled onto this thread. My battery needed replacing and I was going to just slap a new one in there like I do with everything else I own

Look up a Doc 414-00 on AGM Battery maintenance.
Quickly see its no longer a slap in action, but the high tech specs involved in these advanced systems.

I watched a video about charging batteries and placement of the charging cables so that that computer knows that it's being charged

I did exactly this when my daughter returned from deployment the last time. I reconnected the battery and used this procedure. Don't really know if I needed to but it seemed appropriate.
