I have a new 2024 F-350 Lariat with the ultimate package. Overall it's been great, but one thing that has been driving me absolutely nuts is the power running boards. The default setting has them in and out all the time. Especially if the truck is stationary and I'm working on something, I'll keep smacking myself in the shins with them. There is an "out" setting that puts them out and keeps them out until you drive, which is what I want. But for some reason, whenever the truck shuts off, they revert to the "auto" setting.
Likewise, I would like to be able to deactivate the internal motion sensors so my dogs don't set off the alarm when I go to run an errand, but whenever I restart the truck it resets to on.
I haven't noticed if there are other setting that are doing this, most of them do seem to save my setting choices between restarts. Is this working as intended, or is it some sort of a software bug? Is there any fix to this via FORScan or other setting/tools?
