the data tag is gone sadly, I found out the third taillight was missing so I put a new one in. Drove it around with the snipped 4lo wire and it was finally shifting fine! but after driving it for about 7 minutes, its lost all power and just bogs and even backfires if you give it any gas... I also have blocked off the egr, and also disconnected and put in resistors for 2 of the air/evap solenoids by the coil, believe I am suppose to have 3? but I only see 2... any ideas folks? really appreciate the help so far thanks!

Sounds like it's falling on it's face when it goes into closed loop.
Check for codes again.
If no codes, pull out your multimeter and check the Resistance of the engine coolant sensor (the one with two wires) and the air charge temp sensor on the intake manifold.
Check them when the engine is cold, and again after the engine is at operating temperature. The values should fall in this range.

There was no need for the resistors. Are the TAB and TAD solenoids still there? Plug them back into the wire harness.
I sort of remember reading a thread where the computer had failed and that was the cause of the short shifting. It is too early to say that the computer needs to be replaced.

so the codes are the same, 552, 633, 637. I have no idea which ones are tab and tad, can you give me a photo and part number for them please? also if I need to replace the computer, can I do it with any computer that is for 4x4 with a 5.8 and e4od? as long as the pinout on the pcm connector is correct? or do I need the specific yb/zb or whatever pcm?

If you clipped pin 12, there's no way the computer can be detecting the 4wd-low switch is engaged. It pointing to a failing ECU.
Before you replace it, I would disconnect the ECU harness from the ECU and check the resistance between pin 42 and pin 46. This will tell you what the transmission temp sensor is reading. If the temp value is reasonable, then I'd replace the ECU.

im pretty confident it is the pcm too, its just the last thing I wanna replace... $$$. My current pcm is a f5tf 12a650 yb, what other computers can I switch this one out for as this one is more expensive and harder to find for me sadly... Thanks for the help so far! im gonna finish doing a few more tests tonight and let you all know how it goes!
