E40D no response

Happy new year all,
I had a leaking pan on my E40D last year and have been slowly working through a Transgo HD kit, new pan, new gasket, fix stripped out pan mounting holes, etc. I got it back together and fluid in it, no leaks (yay). But now I shift the column and there is no reaction. I got the shift valve on the cable/sensor coming from the column. I will double check this once I get the pan off again (not going to happen today). I plugged the solenoid pack in and un pluged it a few times to make sure. I followed directions on swapping springs out and putting the accumulator plate between it and the transimission body. I did take the transmission plate down to check check *****, I hope something didn't come loose in there. Transmission worked reasonably well before I did this. A bit soft but it would hold once it was in gear.

Besides going through the whole thing again any idea what I should start to look for. Just no reaction at all from shifting on the column, like it's stuck in park.

I trust you've found the issue by now? What was the problem? Had I seen this, I would have asked what happens when you shift to 1/2 and R? Without power, D will be high gear. Hopefully you just didn't plug something in right. Hard to imagine your relay or fuse that supply power blew, right while you doing a shift kit but stranger things have happened.

Hey, I'd like to guess.......This is if you removed the trans to do the pump mods too......

Did you find that the solenoid pack plug's clip was broken? Did you or someone else attempt to remove the plug, with a screwdriver? So what happened was, the pack plug wasn't being pushed down in all the way? If so, you repaired your pack plug with a replacement, right?

My second guess is, you found bare/chaffed wires against the frame on the drivers side, causing your TECA fuse to short and blow?

If you didn't remove the trans and just did the valve body mods, then I guess you had to go through the kit and must have found a valve sticking in a bore or mixed up your springs?

I hope you have e-mail notifications on. Curious.

Yeah, I was just thinking he might have set an email notification to his post is all. He probably didn't. I guess it doesn't matter, I'm sure he found one of those 3 things.
