Clutch pushrod length

So long story short. Recently replaced clutch push rod on 76 F250 crewcab highboy as lots of worn parts were going on with this guy.

https://jb-custom-fabrication.myshopify.com/collections/linkages-and-linkage-parts/products/ford-bronco-78-79-truck-73-79-clutch-pushrod

i ordered one with +2 inches on it and once I put it next to the one I pulled from the truck, the new one seems to have about an inch more then the old rod. Question is is this inch going to mess anything up keeping it on there? Pedal height or not pushing in enough? Anything like that or will it work perfectly fine? I don't see/feel anything binding up. Unsure if I should chop an inch off or not. (I'm rather new to actually working on these clutches myself so I'm learning as I go) much thanks!

As long as you have enough free play and you can get it in gear without any problems your adjustment is correct.

Always check your free play on the clutch fork not the pedal. worn parts can give you pedal free play but the throw out can be riding the fingers.
