foglights

I am trying to reach the foglights on a 2002 ford excursion. How do I take off the license plate frame. Is it on with those "pop"bolts, can I just pry it off?

It should be held on by two screws/bolts on the lower part of the fascia. Once they are removed it should come right off. Yours doesn't?

What happened to your foglights?

Mine are riveted on with the plastic bolts, there is nothing to screw. I'm putting low volatage xenon bulbs in place of the stock ones.

I know what you mean! My front plate bracket is attached with those plastic one-time-only "rivets" as well. I found the easiest way (and I mean easy) on my 2001 Limited was to remove the grille and reach down between the bumber and radiator. Having NEVER taken the grille off anything before, this task took a rookie like me all of 2 minutes! The entire process of removing the grill, changing the bulbs out and re-installing the grill took me 15 minutes. The only tools needed are a "normal size" flat and phillips screwdriver. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions: thetrop@netins.net

Yes, I stand corrected! I, too, have those dreaded little rivet thingies. I musta been thinking about my van.

I like AlbertoV05's advice! And I don't even have foglights!
