Swag performance intake
Anyone with any experience on replacing the intake spider with either of the the swag performance models

I do believe I have a used one of the swag ss versions, I can go dig through my parts cabinet if needed

are they worth it? if the one you have is in your parts bin what are you running instead

I bought it for a temp use for a drop in, then went to oem intake manifold, then went back to t4, if I go drop in again I would use the oem.
Guess to be straight forward, if you are looking for a performance gain, it wont give you one, and oem fits better. But, it is shiny! Lol

I was thinking by separating those pipes it might help with heat transfer and help intake air temps

I don't think you will gain anything. Best thing for intake temps to the actual engine is the intercooler. cold air intake doesn't even really help because that gets heated by the turbo

I have one on my 2000 because the factory spyder cracked when putting the turbo back on after changing boots and rebuilding turbo…. Works fine only issue I had was my boost sensor didn’t want to thread in, I ran a tap through it and all good now
