Just picked up a 1998 E150 5.4 at auction. looks like the rear end is locked up.
I believe it is an 8.8 (I only looked at it very briefly while loading up, was dark when I got home)...
I know a couple people parting newer vans, probably with a 9.75 near as I can tell.
Does anyone have any experience with what will swap/bolt up? I know the f150 axles have different spring perch and shock mount locations.
Anyways, what years 8.8 are direct swap, and is it possible to bolt a 9.75 in without too much difficulty?
