wipers problem

My windshield wipers are working sometimes when they are off. Could this problem be the switch?

As a guess I dont think so.
The motor has power to it all the time IIRC.
There is a switch assy. that when you turn them off the power goes to that switch on the motor to park them.
Other than that I cant help.

Are you running them with the wiper arms not installed? Or anything else unusual? With no load on the motor, it will "coast through" the park area and keep running.

Ooh, good catch there, Dave. I never would have thought of that.

While you have the cowl removed, consider this slight modification for better access when (not if) you have to replace the wiper motor in the future:

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...or-change.html

Without this simple mod, you have to remove the cowl to get to the one hidden bolt.
