2016 2.7 coolant issue

2016 2.7 coolant issue

I’m losing coolant out of this thing and I have no idea where it’s going. The oil isn’t milky looking and I’m not seeing any leaks around the engine compartment. Is it possible it’s going out the exhaust somehow? Has anyone had any issues like this? Truck has 119k miles

2016 with high miles, check for a leaking heater core, if it had engine issues you would have a sicking sweet smell from the exhaust

Check the coolant lines for the turbos.

possible , yet he would smell it under the hood, remember the 2013 escape with the 1.6 liter turbo hoses issue?

Yeah. If there is a leak, it should show up somewhere. OTOH, if he doesn't have a misfire, then it may be going somewhere else. How bad is the leak? Can you do a pressure test on the cooling system?

mechanic nightmare is finding leaking heater cores. .if really bad they tend to flim up the windshield , the coolant mixes with the a/c drainage hitting the ground, i'd be doing a black light die test of the cooling system .

It’s definitely not the heater core. I’m smelling it out the exhaust on cold starts. Oil looks fine but wondering if this gasket is cracked and leaking out the exhaust ports?
