I didn't want to hijack the other thread. I read somewhere the battery has something to with how it acts? I am having the opposite where I have to normally turn it off when driving. I have noticed it doesn't shut off when sitting at a light. ( Not that I'm complaining since I often turn that option off). I haven't seen any loss of power with the battery either in starting or running with head lights on. I am still learning a lot about these newer trucks. Mine is the 2016 F150 with the 2.7 ecoboost. I am going to check the battery to see how old it is. I just want to make sure I am on the right track. I don't have a engine light or anything alerting me dash wise.
I have some maintenance that will be done this month. Tune up and such so getting things out of the way.
Have battery load tested. Mine lasted a bit over four years. Load tested at 30%.
Dealer replaced battery, $208, three year warranty.
Everything works again.
I agree, battery. Many get 3-5 years, especially those that don't get a full recharge very often (longer road trips). My guess your 2016 is on #2, going on #3 battery.

I wouldn't be surprised. I mainly use it for local back and forth trips to work. I really don't do a lot of long trips.Maybe I need to do a couple roads trips a month driving wise to ensure good battery charge.

If that's the case, you might just start with charging the battery, then proceed with having it test.
If you are worried about short trips leaving your battery insufficiently charged, a battery maintainer, used once a week or so, is probably the simplest solution. You can get a quick-connect for it, and it takes under a minute to connect and disconnect.
FORD use to have a 100 month warranty on their batteries. NOW, they have a 36 month warranty. Instead of building a better battery, the lowered the warranty.
I got rid of all mine, and went to ODYSSEY batteries !!!!!!!!!!
