clutch/trans issues

hey everyone odd question here ive got a 95 f250 ...5spd ...5.8 ......today while warming up the truck it oddly started too make noise and slighty moved and shut off .....now for some reason i let up the clutch a 1/4 of the way and it sounds like its engaging but its not in gear i replaced the throwout bearing/slave 2 months ago is it possible thats already messed up or is the clutch sticking .....i bought it used the guy had replaced the clutch the year before and only plowed with it its not been road driven untill i got it and have had no issues untill this suprise today ...any thoughts here before i tear into it would be great

You replaced just the throw out bearing / slave cylinder and no plate disc and pilot bearing?
Sounds like your clutch disc broke its hub or sole other problem with the clutch or plate
Worst case you broke something in the transmission
Yes, tear down and inspect is your next move IMO
Guy replaced the clutch a year ago and only plowed with it?
That's enough to ruin a clutch, and why did you have to replace the slave now?
Maybe he did a partial clutch job like you did a year ago?
Always replace all 4 pieces of a clutch
Even now
Replace all 4 parts again

If you are spinning the transmission in netural, you should hear no noise at all... and definitely not in the bellhousing area. If you had a stall in netural when the transfer case was installed but not when it is out... it sounds like the transmission is still in gear.

first thing i would do is check the clutch master for fluid level.

this would be the first clutch that ever broke on me and ive owned lots of standards in my time but as i stated in my opening thread this just happened out of the blue in idle during warm up a week ago and as i didnt mention while turning the transmission in netural after i dropped the t-case it got tight so pretty much sums up something is broke ...its fine me being dumb and not changing everything will kick in as im doing this next weekend and it look like a balmy 37 is forcasted ...if its just the clutch i can live with it but anything else isnt going too settle well ...will put more here once i get the rest apart.....merry Christmas too everyone
