Ha ha! I Tri-tone for sure!
I had long ago decided the same thing. I love the look of the two tones with race track trim, but not gonna go to that trouble and expense to put it on.
Bad enough that I have to use the center dent trim, but I would love a two-tone with mine.
Thought that, even though it would be an unusual combination, I’d keep my original gold upper, so the firewall and cowl match without having to paint it, and do a Wimbledon White lower.
Then paint the camper shell the same Wimbledon White.
assuming I get around to it in my lifetime that is…
Yeah, the engine compartment is the original cream color. Despite not being a color that would ever have been on my radar, it has grown on me. It looks cool with a splash of chrome. Thinking about body-color wheels with hubcaps too. As a bonus, he gave me an extra hood. It's an older one that doesn't have the holes for the "Ford" letters. So switching to an older grille will be simple. Give the truck a real antique vibe.
Looking back through the pictures above and others online, I think the most I'd do now would be "regular tu-tone". I think that style best suits what I'm going for.
