wow what a difference

So my 94 4.0 starts knocking pretty bad on reg gas. I change to premium to see what kinda difference it makes, and it stops. So I decided to clean my maf sensor yesturday. The maf sensor was pretty grimmy. I took it our for a ride and wow. the acceleration seems alot more solid and in your face. I havent had a chance to really take it out on the highway(were it knocked most) but I took it up a couple real long steep hills and bogged it down and didn't knock. that was one complaint that i had, that the power wasnt solid. it was there in mass amounts but it didnt hit ya hard. now i kick it up a gear and my head hits the back of the seat. the low end tourqe seems to have improved also. has anyone else seen this or am i making seem more then it is? this was also the first time that i know of in 84000 miles.
