Forgive my ignorance - but the state of my ignition coil appears to me to be in poor condition. I'm learning as I go here so looking for input from others. I've posted previously about a stalling issue I've been tracking down so as I inspect and test various components I've been looking for feedback from this group. Thanks for any input.
That looks like a Blue Streak or Standard Motors but a Motorcraft coil would probably last another 20+ years. My 95 has the factory coil in it still but it has lived a sodium free life. I have a FoMoCo coil behind the seat in case it ever decides to quit. 10 minute swap out and I'll be on my way.
Coils sure do fail
Get a cheap spark tester from harbor freight
The TFI module and stator fail more often than the coils IMO
Do the resistance tests on the coil and AutoZone can check the module for you
Have a test light on the negative side of the coil along with the spark tester inline with the coil wire
Watch the test light blink as the vehicle runs
See if the blinking quits and then the engine quits or the engine quits and the blinking stays blinking (stator)
Right learn as you go, we all do the same
Got my Masters in 98 and learn more (about new cars) these days than I did in the mid 90's
The day you quit learning in this business is the day you die
just grab the coil wire and have someone crank the engine you will know right away if you have a spark. I did that once just once and I was leaning up against the truck the voltage went in my fingers and came out my body a little south of my belt if you get my drift. cousins thought it was funny.

That is not how the professionals do it. You have someone else hold the wire and you turn attempt to start the car. Of course, make certain you know how to do CPR.
