I’ve searched but came up empty. I’ve lurked here long enough to know that this is a board of smart folks. I’ve appreciated the depth of knowledge here much of which is above me. I’m hoping some of you here might have some thoughts.
My 14 year old neurodivergent kid sleeps awesome in a hammock when we go camping, only I don’t have room for a hammock in my trailer and I don’t want him outside in the rain (mostly because camping is work enough without having to dry out everything).
it occurred to me that I have 8 plus feet of space, so I’m wondering, anyone ever mount a hammock to the seatbelt hangers or to the grab bar bolts?
The hammock would be for stationary use only.

I haven't tried it myself, but I don't see why it wouldn't work...
At the front, clip the hammock in to the front passenger top seatbelt anchor. At the rear, open the rear top hatch and use a piece of nylon webbing looped around the hinge. If it's a nice night, leave the glass open. If it's not, close it (the webbing shouldn't interfere).
I don't think the 3rd row seatbelts are enough distances for a typical hammock. Something else in addition to the hatch hinges at the rear corner above the spare tire might be.
I just went out and looked around in mine... If I were hanging a hammock for my daughter (and now, I might, since she loves hammocks, too), I would hang it from the front passenger top grab bar and the hatch hinge in the back... I don't see anything else up high at the rear that'd work. But those two points should be good for hammock and someone who isn't too heavy.
Good thoughts thank you both. It's the snugness of the hammock that provides the comfort, it also stores much easier than a mattress. The passenger grab bar and hatch hinge seem to be the best options. My kid isn't small though, 180 pounds and growing and he's not going to be graceful getting in and out. Any concern over whether the grab bar would support that?
