Don't think you will get anywhere near 20000. 10k is really pushing it. I agree with others, a realistic price is 7500 or so. For it to be closer to that 20000 it would either need less than half the miles or it needs to be a 250/350 with the 7.3. You will have a really hard time finding the right person willing to buy it for 10k. Even if its a really nice looking truck body wise you need to be realistic. It's 30 years old and high mileage.
You have provided no photos nor docs, I cannot say what I would pay with no data aside from your word. Just based upon what you stated, $4-6k as-is is what they typically flip for here in TX as they really do not do much well. I have been driving these since late 90s.
Certainly not worth $1000 at all, people love the 92-97s, so you probably could do well if you provide all data backing your claims.
Front end ever done? Trans stock or reman? Climate system? Radio work? Floor mats? Records from 10-15 years ago show care, sure..but what has been done recently?
Look up Bring A Trailer online.
Please do not take my verbiage as negative. You asked and I gave my opinion, which are like *******s...we all have 'em.
I have maintenance records from day one. Everything works exactly as it should. Ice cold air hot heat no leaks power doors locks and windows nice CD player new windshield factory tinted glass factory trans with many records of fluid changes original 5.8 tons of oil change receipts many receipts for diff services. super tight front suspension, steers great, idles perfect, runs perfect, no odd noises, zero rattles driving around, tight exhaust, tow package, off road package. It's a nice one. Just hoping to get an idea what it's market range is more or less. that's all.
AS for your verbiage, No offense intended at all, I simply had no idea what you meant by that., I still don't.
From what I can tell it is probably in the $6500. to $8000. range. or anywhere in between. So I think thais has been a very helpful thread in determining a realistic asking price if she decides to sell it. I'm fairly sure that's going to happen despite my better wishes, I did not attach any strings to it and it is 100% her decision to make.
Thank you all for contributing you time and thoughts!
P.S. Okay, "bring a trailer"...It's a website. Got it. I had not heard of it so I was confused as hell. I get it now though.
So you are the original owner also? That is a huge selling point to many folks, myself included.
Bringatrailer.com is the place if your kid is not interested and you are finished with it. If you choose that route, the more photos the better. Spend money on paint correction, Husky Liner direct fit mats if you do not have OE, copies of all receipts, pics on a lift, etc like going out on first date...put on the dog and pony show.

Actually, Keystone resorts I.E. The ski area bought it new, Then the woman I got it from had it from about 1999 or so until I bought it from her. I have original receipts for maintenance from day one and lots of them! I hope she keeps it, But I just don't think that's going to happen and I want her to get a fair price for it so it will help her get something that suits her needs a little better.
