Heads up, the cable ends you chose for the battery will let water into the new cable and cause it to fail extremely prematurely.
those are for farmer fixes or roadside repair.

The heat shrink end won't help against that? Also it does stay in the garage and only comes out when it's dry, if that helps.

I agree! Even at car shows I have seen those clamp on battery terminals green and corroded. If you are going to keep those I would make sure you get them ( battery post terminals) sealed up with a good schmear of dielectric grease or some of the battery terminal sealing spray.
All in all though good job with getting the materials and installing them. They look great! I think you will find they were worth the investment.
What's the worst that can happen with the clamp type battery clamp? After five years it might develop some corrosion and will have to be taken apart. It won't affect anyone else on the road.
SUCCESS! Thank you everyone. In laws are watching the kids tonight so the wife and I took it out for date night. Drove it off and on all night. Started Everytime without fail or hesitation.
You took it out for the true acid test with your wife on a date night ? You are one brave man! LOL
Jest kidding you of course.
Seriously though, glad it worked out for you and I bet you both had great smiles driving and even starting that truck.
By the way, its a beautiful truck and picture!
