You all must have read the test on them in Peterson's. They got some high scores. And amid my rantings about the "market place" for this manufacturer, seems I was wrong. These shocks seem to be prevelant in the lifted, lotsa articulation crowd as well as the lowered, "what's articulation?" crowd. What I'm saying is they are pretty well rounded.
I e-mailed them yesterday asking for prices on their DT-3000's as tested in Peterson's. For stock height Excursions, I was quoted $40.77 and that INCLUDES shipping. Sounds quite reasonable and I trust what Peterson's had to say about them. Mainly 'cause what they said about the others in the test seemed to be spot on with actual user's reports.
So, there you have it. Think, I'll get me a set and let ya'll know how it goes...
Monsta,
I couldn't stay away from those bright red Edelbrocks and so I had to bite the bullet and spend $300. If those DT300's shocks are as good as they tested to be, then that is a great buy at $41 each. I have had the Edelbrock's on for a little over a week now and I am really happy with them. Hope you have the same luck with your choice. Let me know how they turn out.
I emailed Doetsch twice and called several times and left messages. No one ever got back to me so I ordered the Edelbrocks. (For my SUper Duty- not excursion)I hope their service is better if you have a problem.
Monsta,
Have you gotten the DT3000's? If so, how are they?
I'm wanting to change out my stock units on my F250 and have been watching the comments on the Edelbrock IAS and the DT's.
