Off-idle drivetrain noise.

Hi guys,

I have a '91 F250 with a zf-5 and a 351w. When I accelerate from very low RPMS, about 900 or less, my truck makes this weird noise (attached). Can anyone tell me what it is and if I should be worried about it?

I don't hear anything abnormal there. What gear are you in? Could be gear rollover, which is normal.

Sounds like the motor is just under a load to me. Sounds normal for a manual truck.

If that creaking is what you’re worried about that just sounds like your trim/dash is creaking. My 88s dash is creaky and makes popping noises over certain bumps. Just how the old dashes are from my understanding.

Thanks for the reply’s guys, i realized it’s hard to hear in the video but after looking it up it seems to be just gear rollover.

I replaced the shifter boots on my truck and that greatly reduced cab noise from the transmission.
