the gtp38r needs a 18mm socket. amd the turbine has nothing to get a wrench on..i couldnt even keep it in a vise because the nub is tapered.

If you spin a regular 38 the wheel stops like immediately. the 38r was like spinning a roller skate wheel.

van turbo

i know this waa popular back in the days like 90 years ago.there one close to me for $100. will it work good on a stock 7.3? Superduty 7.3 has a 4" outlet i think. does van have a 3"?

All 7.3L Powerstrokes have 3" outlets.

are you sure? then this 38r has a 4" outlet i think..i put a van down pipe up to it and its too small. the downpipe round flange thatt was on 38r is bigger than van d.p. flange

The SD and 94-97 use a different flange at the outlet, but the ID is the same. The van probably uses the smaller flange like the older pickups but I'm not sure....not many 7.3L vans in my area.
