7.3 IDI fuel leaking
1992 Ford D350 IDI 7.3 van/ecoline firetruck crew transporter fuel leaks
fuel pump weep hole leaking and was replaced by a NAPA fuel pump replacement, however a new leak developed
new fuel leak is in the general area mid engine block. I noticed a fuel filter bottom of motor
I looked at top engine best I could and didn't see any leaks from the injectors or injector rail
could it be faulty fuel filter housing leaking , bad fuel line Fuel Filter Housing Top Diesel Fuel Filter Housing
Also, I'd check your oil regularly for a week or two. Of course, I have to add oil every time I drive my Bullnose truck since it leaks so much.
The mechanical fuel pumps on our IDIs are known to rupture a diaphragm and pump fuel into the crankcase. This can be IDed by a raising oil level and oil that smells like diesel. This actually happened to me on my 6.9l. Thankfully I caught it before any damage was done. Since you got a replacement from NAPA you should be good, I just thought I'd mention it.
a couple pictures may help us but you're probably going to just have to clean it up and get it dry, then run the engine and just trace it down,
