Help-- rear axle question.

I have a 2004 Ford Expedition 2WD, Eddie Bauer 5.4L. I am trying to find out if my rear CV axles are 9.75 or 8.8" ring gear.

Look at the identification sticker in your driver's door frame at the "axle" code. If it's H6 code you have a 9.75" 3.73 LSD axle.

or if sticker is missing like in my car, you should have metal plate on rear differencial housing.

I have 3L73 means 3.73 ratio with LSD and 9,75 means inch size. I think you have the same.

A 5.4 should always have a 9.75” axle backing it in an Expy.
