I bought a new clock spring of eBay and it is bad. What buttons are working either don't match control or just plain out don't work. I went from the radio/phone not working but everything else work to a complete wacky. I don't think I can put back in the old one after removing it since there is no lock in place as the new one. Contacted eBay seller to hopefully getting a replacement as soon as possible. Horn works and airbag seems ok. Went from pain to horrible. lol
Is it a Ford manufactured part? Most aftermarket parts for things like that are junk.
Honestly, It say's OE but list a HBCA so not 100% sure. Normally, I don't have issues with buying of eBay. I'm afraid to remove it and replace it with old one. It looks fine but the lock is removed when installed so I really don't want to chance that.
I found NAPA and Oreilys do carry new ones about $100. The eBay seller is sending a postage tag to send it back so I wont see the refund till they get the one I bought back. I can order tonight and get it sometime Friday. The bad part is we have rain coming in so I will have to find a way to do it since I go back Monday to work.
I will give you a update when it comes in. Still waiting for it. It seems they are just not ready available around here. I ended up having to order it from NAPA. You would think if this a known problem, they would carry it at most auto part stores. Auto Zone or Advance listed as unavailable. I'm sure Ford would have just taken my wallet and first child if I bought it through them. lol
I've found the Ford dealers don't have bad pricing on small stuff. Online Ford parts places like Tasca or Quirk have pretty good prices. Both have an EBay presence, not all stuff on eBay or Amazon is junk, just most of it. You need to know exactly what your searching for to find the good stuff.

That's good to hear. Wasn't that way when I was growing up. You avoided the dealer at all cost.It drives fine with no dash lights. It went from one side of steering wheel was non working to now both sides are working but not correctly and consistent. Should be in tomorrow. I can't wait. Hate when things don't work.
Used to be you could get OEM quality or better parts at places like NAPA, CarQuest, etc. Now all of them will sell you the “lifetime guaranty” junk first before admitting they have, or can get, the good stuff.
You need to know exactly what you want though. The days of highly experienced parts guys are gone. Remember those guys who’d been doing it for so long that they knew cross references in their head.

I agree 100%. A lot of the guys from a couple of places I used that were very experienced are gone. It's like they chase them off. NAPA is a hit or miss anymore since being taken over by corporation. Sad part is choices are getting very limited.
We ised to have a parts company here who supplied all the good independent shops and dealers. You could go there and get anything. Want 3/4 ton springs for your half ton, they could find it. Want the best gasket sets, water pumps, etc, they knew it. You didn’t have to do your research first, that was their job and they were proud to do it. They didn’t want an a dissatisfied customer coming in with broken new parts.
Nowadays some shops and a lot of counter guys will tell you cheap parts are just as good, but branded differently. Yeah, in rare instances that’s true, but in the vast majority of instances it is not. The pages upon pages of crap on Amazon with made up names, Gohappy, Luckrun, Artriminon, Klasway, etc, just amazes me.
